Save the Date for The Jeff Norton Awards!

The senseless murder of beloved actor Jeff Norton has brought the Tampa Bay area theatre community even closer together in grief. Now it’s time to share the joy of life Jeff exuded from every pore of his being. The Norton Awards were established to honor his memory and the extraordinary expanse of his talent while continuing Jeff’s tradition of supporting the next generation of actors. Please support this tribute to Jeff.

Keith Arsenault is seeking good digital files of PRODUCTION or PROMOTIONAL photos of Jeff from shows he worked on for video tribute for the NORTON AWARDS presentation. If digital files are not available, Keith can make them from hard copies. He also made the video presentation at the memorial so you know the finish product will be a visual treat for the eyes. [If you are unable to contact Keith through Facebook, make a comment here and I'll pass your information along ~ Ed]

Conspicuous Creativity Scholarship

The USF School of Theatre and Dance has begun a scholarship in memory of Jeff Norton, focused on “conspicuous creativity”. The intent is to award a $500 scholarship to a theatre student who has demonstrated a high level of imagination, creativity and “thinking outside the box” in developing original theatre projects. If you are interested in helping fund this scholarship, please contact Marc Powers at mpowers(at)usf.edu or call 813-974-2015.

The Sun is Dimmer Today

He took my cat to the vet when no one else could. It makes me smile remembering his twinkling eyes as he explained he never ran the A/C in his truck but he made an exception for a 5 pound grey persian who started to pant. Sappho, ever a good judge of character, was smitten with him.
