Leon Russell will play at the 3 day Mount Dora Blues and Wine Fest in May on Saturday the 19th. Tickets are available at a discounted rate of $21 each through the month of February.
When Pigs Fly Again is hosting an event this weekend called the “Old Crow Market” and five FANTASTIC vendors including Zen Cowgirl, will be set up on the lawn and patio of the store. The Mount Dora Art Festival will be a block away so this is a chance to get out and see what’s up in the art world plus pick up a Valentine’s gift for that special someone. Everyone in Tangerine knows that there’s a huge flea market/antique mall 4 miles north of us on US 441. I wonder how many people have been there. When it’s open on the weekends, its population is easily double or triple that of Tangerine. Yet the only thing we really notice about it is the traffic going in or out.
Well, I took a trip out there and got a few photos of what’s up in that big building on the hill. {There’s people set up out in the field too.}
Umatilla is hosting its 36th Annual Cracker Christmas Parade and Festival. The parade is scheduled to start at 9 am in downtown Umatilla. Local businesses will be open during the daylong event. Free
