It will be very cold in Tangerine tonight. We’ll have below freezing temperatures before midnight tonight and they’ll remain that way for 10-12 hours. We expect to have hard freeze conditions for 3-5 hours. A hard freeze is a temperature of 32* F or below and kills exposed vegetation.
Put potted plants in a safe place. For delicate plants you can’t move, put some outside Christmas lights nearby or cover with fabric or a box.
Bring your pets in or provide them with warm accommodations. If you’re putting an outside dog or cat in the garage, place a warm heating pad on their bed to keep them cozy. Give them extra food as the cold temperatures cause an increase in metabolic rate.
