Inspirational Thoughts on Jeff
[At the top of this page is a tab "Jeff Norton" if you want to keep up with the legal actions in this case.]
Some people knew Jeff Norton first as a actor and teacher of theatrical arts: stage combat, speech, dance and everything else that makes up the mysterious art that I don’t fully understand. I knew him a friend, primarily my significant other’s friend, but to meet Jeff was to instantly like him. He took our cat to the vet when both of had to work and she really needed to be checked out. It makes me smile remembering his puppy-dog eyes as he explained he never ran the A/C in his truck but he made an exception for a 5 pound grey persian who started to pant. Sappho, ever a good judge of character, was smitten with him.
Somewhere in heaven, Jeff is undoubtedly playing a white baby grand singing “The Piano Has Been Drinking” and entertaining an adoring audience. Jeff, we promise to keep your light in our hearts. You made the world a better place. We miss you.
Sometime last week he was murdered in a senseless robbery. Hundreds of people are grieving for the consummate actor who was everyone’s best friend. A suspect is in custody, but as the horrible details emerge, the relief we hoped would come with an arrest is elusive. So if you notice the sun is dimmer today, it’s because a black hole of collective grief is sucking light out of the sky.
